Naturally Grown Fruit and Vegetables

Growing since 2005, we are now into our 12th season with almost four acres in cultivation. We take great pride in growing the highest quality, naturally grown vegetables, fruit and herbs - both wild and cultivated.

Herbal Medicine

We grow a large diverse herb garden with both culinary and medicinal herbs. Herbalists come from around the region to harvest and prepare different medicines throughout the year. We host a series of educational herbalism seminars for teachers and students to share effective and healthy techniques of growing, processing, and using herbs.

Educational Programs

We are passionate about growing food and growing as human beings. That is why we offer educational programs for all ages - exciting school field-trips for the youth, college credit for university students, and classes for adults.

We partner with area schools to provide an unforgettable field-trip experience in which students learn how their food is grown and are able to participate in hands-on learning. Our three-sisters garden was planted with help from the local Waldorf school 3rd grade class.

Volunteers

Interns will be immersed in every aspect of growing and maintaining a diverse small farm while working with other interns, members of the community, and the farm owner, Cameron. Topics and work on the farm change from day to day, season to season, and include (but not limited to); greenhouse production, vegetable production, field fertility and maintenance, fruit production, culinary and medicinal herbs growing/processing, drying greenhouse management, poultry care, etc.

Students pursuing a plant science degree or related field may be eligible to receive college credit for a summer internship at Spice of Life Farm. Contact your academic adviser to learn more.
